- 1 onion sliced
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 cup fresh coconut roasted grind to paste
- 8-10 curry leaves
- For the masala👇
- 1 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1 tbsp pepper corns
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 15-20 curry leaves
- 7-8 red chillies
- 3 cloves
- 1 piece cinnamon
- 2 cardamom
- 1 pod garlic, 1 inch ginger piece
- 3 tbsp coconut oil/ghee
- For marination👇
- 1 small cup curd
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Steps to make to make Spicy🌶Chicken chettinad
- Firstly clean, wash chicken and marinate with curd, turmeric powder, and salt, &keep aside, dry roast all the masala ingredients on low flame until it turns to light brown in color &you get good aroma.. take it out, & let it cool down, grind it to smooth paste by adding little water....prepare coconut paste by dry roasting and grinding it to a smooth paste.
- Heat up wok or saucepan add ghee or coconut oil add sliced onion and curry leaves saute it until brown in color add ground red masala saute it nicely, add chopped tomatoes, keep stirring and roast it until tomatoes become mushy and it releases oil...now add marinated chicken mix well..add salt as required, Cover the lid let it cook until chicken is done, now add ground coconut paste, give it a good mix, adjust the consistency by adding little hot water if required.
- Close the lid again and just get one boil, and it done..take it out in a serving bowl garnish with some more curry leaves and it's ready to relish with chapati/naan/rice...enjoy😋
